Classes
We try to offer classes for every stage of learning. Some are just getting started with their game development journey, while others are preparing for the pursuit of a college degree in programming or game design. Wherever a student is on their journey, we want to help them grow, achieve, and create!
Six-Week Workshops for Beginners
Most of our classes are semester long dives into a holistic study of game development; programming, game art, music composition, etc. These are listed below, and all still have room.
However, we have added two great six-week sessions in November and December. These are designed for newcomers who want to give it a try.
Winter Video Game Development Workshop for Beginners
Designed for complete beginners (basic computer experience requested) - this six week workshop will see students creating a fun winter video game! This class can be thought of as a stand-alone experience to introduce students to game art and programming, or it can be a perfect segue to prepare them for more classes at Bitmask Games in the new year!
Art Workshop for Beginners
In this six week course, students will learn the basics of digital art! This class is a great stand-alone workshop, or it can be a perfect segue for students who want to continue classes at Bitmask Games into the new year!
Semester Classes
Art, Interactive
So you want to create art for video games...

Art, Interactive is a continual series of classes that teach the fundamentals of creating art for video games. This includes everything from art fundamentals to character development and gesture drawing to working within the constraints of pixel realms to 3d modeling and animation.
Dice & Design (postponed)
A creative break from the screens, but just as intense!

This class has been postponed. Please watch for individual tabletop game nights!
A tabletop roleplaying game (TTRPG) course where students learn to play, facilitate, and design tabletop games. A combination of instruction and open workshop-style plays sessions creates a studio/stage, project-based learning format. This culminates with students publishing their own TTRPG adventure!
